Introduction
Welcome to HocusFocus. These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Marian Cocota (the "Developer") governing your access to and use of the HocusFocus mobile application, related websites, support channels, beta programs, and associated services.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using HocusFocus, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

- All information you provide is accurate and truthful
- Your use of the Service complies with applicable laws
3. Service Description
HocusFocus is a productivity, routine-building, journaling, and time-tracking application designed for divergent minds, providing features including:
- Activity and session tracking with timeline sliding
- Timers, reminders, morning/evening routines, and scheduling tools
- Journaling, mood and energy logging, and audio voice notes
- Statistics, progress dashboards, and 3D skyline milestone systems
- AI-assisted routine drafting and photo verification features
- Calendar read/write scheduling integrations
- Movement tracking, route logging, and map displays
- Optional multi-device cloud synchronization
- Optional private Google Drive backup (using the restricted
drive.appdatascope)
4. Medical, Health & Emergency Disclaimer
HocusFocus is a productivity and self-management tool. It is NOT medical advice, mental health treatment, psychological counseling, crisis support, or emergency service.
Any references to ADHD-friendly design, focus support, wellbeing, mood, or energy pacing are informational and product-design oriented only. They do not replace professional medical or psychiatric diagnosis or treatment. If you need clinical or emergency assistance, contact a qualified healthcare provider immediately.
5. Accounts & Security
5.1 Optional Accounts
You may use substantial portions of the Service offline without creating an account. Cloud sync and certain cross-device features require authentication through Firebase Authentication.
5.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity occurring under your account. Promptly notify us if you suspect any unauthorized access.
6. Subscriptions, Purchases & Billing
6.1 Paid Features
Certain advanced features (such as continuous cloud sync, expanded historical analytics, or premium AI tiers) may require an active subscription or in-app purchase.
6.2 Platform Billing
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. We do not store or process your raw payment card information.
6.3 Auto-Renewal & Cancellations
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. You can easily manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Google Play account settings.
7. License Grant
Developer grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download, install, and use HocusFocus on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use.
8. Acceptable Use & Restrictions
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code; circumvent security or subscription gates; overload or attack infrastructure; or use the Service for unlawful surveillance, harassment, or distribution of malicious code.
9. User Content & Your Data
9.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content, notes, routines, audio recordings, and photos you create or submit within HocusFocus.
9.2 Operational License
You grant the Developer a limited license to store, sync, and process your content solely as necessary to operate features, render displays, and perform backups on your behalf.
10. AI Features & Automated Outputs
AI features (such as routine suggestions or photo verification) utilize Google / Vertex AI / Gemini models. AI outputs may occasionally be unexpected or incomplete. You remain responsible for evaluating suggestions and routines.
11. Beta & Experimental Features
During the Android Closed Beta period, features are provided on an experimental basis and may change, improve, or be modified without prior notice as we refine the user experience.
12. Third-Party Services
Integrations with Google Firebase, Google Drive, Google Play Billing, RevenueCat, and Mapbox are subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
13. Intellectual Property
All software, brand design, logos, artwork, and visual interfaces (excluding user-generated content) are the intellectual property of Marian Cocota and protected under international copyright laws.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow limitations of certain liabilities, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
21. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law principles. EU consumers retain mandatory statutory consumer protections under the laws of their country of residence.
